Emma Raducanu has closed the curtain on its 2025 season.
29th-ranked Raducanu, who had been suffering from heat-related dizziness and a back problem during the recent Asian swing, will take time off before starting a training block in preparation for the 2026 S.this Sports reports.

The 2021 US Open champion also plans to consider working with former coach Rafa Nadal Francisco Roig in 2026, according to Sky Sports.
After her 6-1, 6-2 loss to Elena Rybakina in the third round of the US Open in August, Raducanu said she planned to continue working with Roig until the end of the 2025 season. Now, given that she has pulled the plug on her season, Raducanu has committed to Roig for 2026, which will enable the pair to collaborate on an extensive training block.
“I think it’s been a pretty successful week in a sense that we’ve made good improvements,” Raducanu said of Roig during the US Open.
“I think there are parts of my game that have definitely improved. Today, you know, my weaknesses were highlighted, but I think it’s only been three weeks and he can’t do miracles, you know. So I know we’re doing a good job and I’m looking forward to going.”
The 22-year-old Briton pulled out of her Wuhan Open opener last week due to dizziness while training American Ann Li 1-6, 1-4.
However, it has been a resurgent season for Raducanu, who finished 2024 in 58th place. As of today, Raducanu would qualify for a seed for the 2026 Australian Open, although that could obviously change between now and the start of the Melbourne Magic in January.
The 57-year-old Roig was a long-time coach of Nadal’s team, later coach Matteo Berrettini, and has coaching experience on the WTA Tour as well. Roig, who reached a career high of No. 60 on the ATP Tour, also coached the 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens.
Roig made it Mark Petcheywho had coached Raducanu on an informal basis since the Miami Open. Tennis Channel analyst Petchey had agreed to work with Raducanu until the end of the grass court season, but could not commit to coaching him full-time due to his television commentary obligations.
Working with Petchey, who previously coached Andy Murray, Raducanu recorded some of her best results in years.
In her short tenure with Roig, Raducanu has served wide on the second side effectively to set up her forehand and has tried to spread the court with her shots. Raducanu has also modified her face slightly by including a higher rebound on that arm in an effort to generate a bit more power.
Raducanu has posted a 28-21 record on the season shooting 38 percent over those 49 games.
