Mohammad Yusif shocks PCB by suddenly resigning as selector due to ‘personal reasons’

Pakistan National Cricket Team selector Mohammad Yousuf made a bombshell statement ahead of the England Test series on Sunday (September 29). The former cricketer of the team resigned from his post citing personal reasons behind his decision.

Mohammad Yousuf picked the Pakistan team for the T20 World Cup 2024 and the team did not have a good run. Failing to qualify for the Super 8 stage, they faced a group stage exit from the tournament due to defeats against the United States of America (USA) and the Indian National Cricket Team.

Mohammad Yousuf also picked the squad for the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The team suffered a whitewash in the two-match Test series and came under the scanner for their poor performances with bat and ball throughout the home series in Rawalpindi.

Muhammad Yusif’s last assignment was to select the team for the first Test against the England National Cricket Team. When he picked the team for the first game, it was certain that he would also name the team for the last two games of the series. But that was not the case when he resigned.
