Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman could be on his way to a “Brutal knockout” In his title challenge against the WBC Junior Middleweight Champion Sebastian Fundora on October 25.
Age is not just a number here
Boxing analyst Tim Bradley sees a serious result for the 36-year-old former WBA and WBO welterweight champion ‘One Time’ Thurman (31-1, 23 COs) in his capital against the younger 27-year-old Fundora (23-1, 15 KOs).
If box worked correctly, Thurman would have to earn a title against Fundora Start this little gauntlet against these three fighters:
- Vergil Ortiz jr.
- Jaron Ennis
- Israil Madrimov
If Thurman got into one piece through the fighting, he would get a world title against Fundora. Realistically, it doesn’t look good to Keith.
Tim said he studied Thurman’s recent Comeback match against Brock Jarvis from March 12, 2025, and his loss to the then 40-year-old Manny Pacquiao on July 20, 2019. He does not see a probable victory for Thurman except to get a happy knockout. The chances of happening are slim.
Bradley’s collapse: ‘He’s not Fundora’
“Fundora can even knock him out. I watched Thurman’s struggle with 40-year-old Pacquiao (2019). Thurman was at his peak then he couldn’t be a 40-year-old Pacquiao,” Tim Bradley said on his channel. “He doesn’t hit a young fundora.
Thurman has been too inactive for the past eight years since his fight against Danny Garcia on March 4, 2017. He has only fought three times since the fight against these fighters:
- Brock Jarvis: March 12, 2025
- Mario Barrios: February 5, 2022,
- Manny Pacquiao: July 20, 2019
- Josesito Lopez: January 26, 2019
Fundora-Thurman fights in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The event will be pointed to PBC Prime video pay-perview for $ 74.99. It is not cheap for a fight for which there is no question, nor is it much interest in.
The younger fighters do not know who Thurman is except a long -winded fighter who is occasionally questioned on YouTube. Many of the older fans who know “once” lost interest in him a long time ago, tired of waiting for him to return.
“With the work rate of Fundora. That was all it was with Pacquiao. You left Thurman backwards with his hands. You can’t do it with Fundora. It’s another Thurman now. A little more mature,” Bradley said.
No prayer for ‘once’
The defects in Thurman’s game are not the reason why he has very little chance of winning. This is this witch’s brew:
- Age
- Facing an excellent fighter
- Inactivity
- Fighting beyond its natural weight class
- Involving at 154
- Never be so good in the first place
When you consider all the people, it comes to the old ‘one -time Thurman who has no prayer. He is on his way to an almost certain loss, and the only thing that makes it interesting is whether he will be removed on his feet or counted flat on his back.
