Carlos Adames says he thinks he can “Knock” All the fighters in the divisions of 160 and 168 pounds with the way he feels. It does not say much that Adames believe that he can clean the middleweight section, because it is essentially a dead and barren desert, which I think is empty of talent.

Fans believe that WBC middleweight champion Adames (24-1-1, 18 COs) smell money and want to get to the Terence Crawford Sweepstakes to turn from the green.
Adames missed the megapillions that have arrested less talented fighters lately. As he moves to 168, he increases his chances of picking up a payday of $ 10 million or more if he can land the Big Tuna, Crawford or Canelo Alvarez. He may not have to move up.
Why Adames and not January?
Crawford mentions this week that he is considering a move to the 160 pound division. If he did move, Adames would be an obvious target because he held the WBC middle weight title. Crawford can lose. Therefore, it is likely that he stays away from January and chooses the potentially easier option in Adames.
Time is not on Bud’s side
If Bud stays out of the ring for a year or more on his victory of his victory over Canelo, the Adames may be more than he can handle. He would be close to 39 by that time, and his hit-and-run style may not be working against the pressure fighter Adames as against the slow, flat-footed-35-year-old Canelo this past weekend.
Legacy buildup or record plot?
Terence needs that belt or one of the other in the weight class to become a world champion of six divisions. It would take up his record superficially, but the ultra-hardcore fans of future generations, who care for records, would be impressed with the achievement.
