Demetrius Andrade seeks title shot from Crawford, citing a history of being overlooked

Demetrius Andrade called for Terence Crawford on social media and asked him to challenge an ‘opportunity’ to challenge for his undisputed Super Middleweight Championship.

Andrade’s direct exclamation to Crawford

Former two divisions world champion Andrade (32-1, 19 COs) points out that he received fights against Canelo Alvarez and Errol Spence. In contrast, he was closed out of the big battles until he faced the much greater David Banavidez 21 months ago, on November 25, 2023.

The US Olympic Andrade in 2008 lost only during his career, David Banavidez, against one fighter. The defeat was more about Benavidez who had the greatest benefit over Andrade after rehydrating for their super -middleweight attack.

Crawford, 37, is five months older than Andrade, so there is no argument that can be made about the age that is a reason why this struggle cannot happen. Demetrius turned 37 in February, and he is still young enough to give Crawford problems with his skills, power and Southpaw attitude.
