The unified three-belt champion of 175 pounds, Dmitri Biscolor, is training again for his next fight after having a back surgery after his victory earlier this year over Artur Betterbiev in their re-broadcast.
Options for a return
Biblical (24-1, 12 COs) is expected to return to the ring in the first quarter of 2026, January to March. The three possible opponents:
- Artur Betterbiev: Trilogy Match.
- David benavidez: For the undisputed light heavyweight championship
- Canelo Alvarez: Rematch
Benavidez: the fans’s choice
American fans want to see WBC lightweight champion Benavidez (30-0, 24 COs) the next opponent is for Biblical (34) to fight in early 2026. Many of them have grown tired of watching a bit in the battle with the 40-year-old Betterbiev, and they want to see how he does against a young fighter who can cut the ring to force him into the exchange of exchanges.
Turki Alalshikh is likely to be the one who decides on the next opponent for Biblical. However, it is doubtful whether Dmitri will dig into his heels and refuse to fight Benavidez. On paper, it is a more difficult battle for Biblical than a trilogy match against Betterbiev due to benavidez’s foot speed, combination -pen and his quick hands.
“There are discussions about building the third battle (with betterbiev) for the global fans. We are open next year to fight Benavidez or Betterbiev. We are not discussing a warm -up fight right now unless Dmitry’s recovery is not as planned,” said Vadim Kornilov, manager of Biblical.
This is a positive sign that Kornilov is open to a collision between BiVol and Benavidez. For the struggle to happen, on November 22, 2025, Benavidez must successfully defend his WBC title against Anthony Yarde. Again, it will also require the struggle to fit in with Turki’s plans for the next battle of Biblical.
“I’m not sure if Canelo actually wants the fight. If all goes well with rehabilitation, Biplolly must be ready to fight in the first quarter of next year,” Kornilov said of his interest in a re -broadcast between Bivolol and Canelo Alvarez.
It is still too early to know what Canelo’s plans are, because he still has his title defense of his undisputed Super Middleweight Championships against Terence Crawford next Saturday, September 13, in Las Vegas. Turki mentioned Canelo Fighting #1 WBC rankings Hamzah Sheeraz or the winner of November 15, 2025, between Chris Eubank Jr. And Conor Benn.
For Canelo to defend against one of the fighters would play for the British fanbase because it is British boxers. US fans are more interested in seeing Canelo, taking a larger test against Benavidez or Biblical.
