Rory Mcilroy He returned to the conversation in Irish Open after shooting a second round 66 on Friday to reach seven under the money in general and climb within five shocks, which is currently held by Joacim Lagergren of Sweden on 12 under.

“I didn’t make a noise, which was beautiful,” Mcilroy said after his round. “Overall, I’m really happy with the work of the day. At least keeps me inside the touching distance going on the weekend.”
Mcilroy won Irish Open only once, and was in this country a lot, K Club, in 2016. A victory this week would score the 20th DP of Mcilroy’s world career. Lagergren is looking for his second career victory in the DP.
Mcilroy will play in the third pair in the late Saturday along with Alfredo Garcia-heredia at 7:50 AM, while Lagergren will play in the last pairing with Adrien Saddier at 8:10 AM.
