The 50th game of Pedestrian cup Teat outside on Saturday and Sunday by Cycle Points Club at Pebble Beach, Calif., One of the most famous (and highly ranked) courses in the world. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Wait, what exactly is the Walker Cup?
Version of Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup men’s amateur version, with a team from the United States receiving the best men’s amateurs from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, which make up the UK and Ireland team.
So there are 12 players per team, like Ryder Cup?
No! The Walker Cup has 10 players on one side, plus a captain. This event, like the others above, is also played every other year alternating between the US and the UK as a host.
What is the Walker Cup format?
Unlike the Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup, the Walker Cup is compressed for two days. Here is the game schedule for Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday, September 6
11-11: 45 AM ET-4 Fourth matches (alternative Shot)
4: 45-5: 55 Afternoon et-8 single matches
Sunday, September 7
11-11: 45 AM ET-4 Fourth matches (alternative Shot)
4: 30-6 PM ET-10 matches single
How does someone win?
If you win your match, you get a point. If you and your opponent connect, each side gets a half point. The team that scores the most in the four sessions wins, and if there is a tie (Gasp!), The trophy stays with the team that won the previous meeting, which in this case would be SH.BA
Sounds fun! How to look at it?
You can see it in Palua and Golf Channel. Palua will broadcast early Action Saturday and Sunday from 12: 30-3: 30 afternoon, and Golf Channel will undertake broadcasting for later sessions, 7-10 in the afternoon every day.
Even this golf course is good, right?
Yes! WHEREAS Pebble It takes a lot of love because it is public and expects an annual PGA Tour (and diploma), its neighbor, Cypress Point, is not a slave. Cypress Point was created by Alister MacKenzie and ranked second in both 100 Main Golf Courses in SH.BA AND 100 main courses in the world Lists (with New Jersey’s Pine Valley doing it on both lists).
Famous holes?
Few courses offer stunning views you can find in Cypress Point, and the most famous golf hole for all of them is par-3 16, which is not only a staggering scene, but calls for a long transmission over the ocean in a narrow green surrounded by bunkers, rocks and water.

How can I take a time tee in Cypress Point?
You can’t. (If you are not qualified for this Walker cup.)
Which players should I know about?
A ton of the best players of the Pro game have competed in the Walker Cup before joining the tournament, and the group of this year’s players presents the top eight places in the amateur golf rankings for men and 14 players in the top 50 Wagr.
The title of that list is American Jackson Koivu, a growing young man in Auburn who won the Haskins award as the highest collegial golf. It was the first time a beginner won the award after Justin Thomas did so in 2012. Koivun even played in six pro -events in 2025, losing the cut in only one (US Open) and finishing T11, T6 and T5 in the last three. He has already won his tour card through the accelerated PGA Tour program.
Others to mention on the US side: Michael la Sasso (2025 NCAA Champ individual), Mason Howell (2025 winner of the USA Amalat) and Ben James (No. 1 in PGA Tour University rankings).
For GB & I, a well -known name stands in Luke Poulter, the son of the great Ryder Ian Poulter Ryder. Luke, as you can see above, has already had an excellent start of the week as the practice rounds are developing.
Another popular name is Nialls Shiels Dongan, who was a local favorite at the California Olympic Club for the American Amateur last month. Shiels Donegan did it up to the semifinals before it was eliminated.
Where are the next Walker glasses?
Only in some of the best courses in the world. Although there will be no alternative years between the event this year and the other, as early 2026, the Walker Cup will pass in years. It is at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland next year, again on the western coast in the bandon Dunes Golf Resort in 2028, in Prince’s Golf Club in England in 2030 and then at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania in 2032. Other next places have also been announced: Chicago Golf Club (2036) and Pine Golf Club (2044).
