Karen Chukhadzhian is fighting on October 11 and defends his IBF and WBO International Welterweight titles against an even set opponent during the Kok Dreamboxing event in Riga, Latvia.
This is the second battle for Chukhadzhian (25-3, 13 COs) since the loss of a competitive 12-round decision to Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis last year on November 9 in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Chukhadzhian, 29, gave what many Boxing fans feel that the “Boots” Ennis was the most difficult career test, which violates and expelled him in a loss attempt. The judges gave it to the hometown, Ennis, by the scores of 119-107, 117-109 and 116-110. He put more effort into Karen in the championships of 10 to 12.
Chukhadzhian’s developing fighting style
Karen converted his fighting style for the re -broadcast with Ennis, from a survival -oriented and a customer to that of a Slugger. He stands and fights ‘boots’ in a toe-to-tone style, which paid the indigenous Philadelphia for the shots he landed. Ennis looked visibly frustrated about the success of Chukhadzhian, because he did not expect this kind of battle from him.
The bumps that Karen regularly dropped the head of Ennis caused him to fight harder, leaving himself open to be nailed by Chukhadzhian. At the end of the fight, Tom Gray from Sporting News noted what Ennis ‘blown’.
Ennis notes about his actions: “I think my actions were in order, but it is maybe time to go to 154.”
Chukhadzhian showed a different side of his game in battle. He strikes with power on a nearby and middle distance. On the outside, he regularly connected to the head of Ennis.
The Kyiv, Ukraine native Chukhadzhian, has since returned from his loss to Ennis by defeating Cristian Javier Ayala with a unanimous ten-round decision earlier this year on May 10 in the city ranks, Rostock, Germany. The scores were 99-91, 99-92 and 99-91.
Welterweight ranking and future
Chukhadzhian is the rankings #4 WBO, #6 IBF, and #14 WBC at Welterweight. Despite the two defeats against Ennis, he is still highly aware.
