Former coach Teddy Atlas leans to heavyweight contender Filip Hrgovic to defeat David Adelye in their 10-round undercad fight on Saturday, August 16 in Riyadh. Atlas says Adelye (14-1, 13 CO’s) is too inconsistent and sporadic to beat a fighter as technically as Hrgovic (18-1, 14 COs).
“He has to hurt him. He does not go the distance and does not hit him. What Atlas doesn’t point out are the valid reasons why Adeleey fights fight in places:
- He is muscle -bound: nobility carries too many muscles on his 240+ pound frame to fight hard for a full three minutes of each round. He needs rest breaks
- Emphasize when things are difficult: if things go bad for Adeleye, he chooses to use rough home tactics. You see the forearms over the face, low blows, rabbit punch and lots of push. In his loss of Fabio Wardley, Adeleye lost full control, such as a wildlife man of the Stone period 2.5 million years ago.
Adeleye’s Grab-Fest Tactics

HRGOVIC’s technical skills and experience
