A Brit will make a trip across the pond ATLOS NYC and completes its 2024 season in the Big Apple
Daryl Neita has joined ATLOS NYC – A women-only event created by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanyan – and will finish his season over 100m in New York.
The Briton finished fourth in the Olympic 100m final, the best finish by a British woman in 64 years, and fifth in the 200m at the Paris Games.
He also anchored Great Britain’s 4x100m relay team; the other three in the final, Dina Asher-Smith, Imani Lara-Lancicotton and Amy Hunt, for the silver medal, with the quartet trailing the United States.
Added to this was Nathan’s silver over 200m and gold in the 4x100m at the European Championships.
The 30-year-old clocked a season’s best 100m of 10.92 in the Olympic heats and went under 11 seconds in each round in the French capital.
He will meet familiar faces from Paris ATLOS NYC on Sept. 26 at Icahn Stadium against Marie-José Tha Lou-Smith, Brittany Brown, Zoe Hobbs, Celera Barnes and Candace Hill.
AW: I met Neita after the Brussels Diamond League and he declared that it was “the best season of my career so far”.
“I was so close to an individual Olympic medal in the 100m, and it was life-changing,” Neita said. “It really showed me that I’m in the mix and that I’m so close to that (global) podium now. I want to continue to prove to myself that I can go to the end of a long season. I don’t want to knock, and I’m proud of myself for doing that.”
Becoming the first British athlete to win over 100m at the Olympics since Dorothy Hyman in 1960, Neita added: That’s a big deal. It’s not that easy in finals like this, but it will take more work to get medals next year.
“In the last few seasons, I felt that I had left many championships disappointed, but in Paris I was very proud of my achievements. I proved to myself that I could perform when it mattered, and that was a big thing for me to do. I am now very confident ahead of the World Cup.”
Neita will be one of the favorites in the 100m ATLOS NYC and outfield, only Ta Lu-Smith is faster this season.

Even though it’s late in the season, we can see some fast times, with the women’s 100m track record of 10.83 set by Aleah Hobbs two years ago.
Total 36 athletes the time of the competition ATLOS NYC and it will feature 100m, 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, 800m and 1500m.
It is a wallet for women only. First place: $60,000; Second place: $25,000; Third place: $10,000; Fourth place: $8,000, fifth place: $5,000; Sixth place: $2,500.
Grammy Award-winning artist Megan T. Stallion will headline the evening, D-Nice will DJ, and each athlete will get their own song.
