It will take some time away from attention, however.
Canadian has chosen to withdraw from the open equation of cincinnati in order to rest the wrist she wounded while falling during her semifinal victory over Elena Rybakina in Montreal.
“I’m not planning to play Cincinnati at the moment,” she said, after explaining that her right hand was swollen on Thursday, and adding that she went to the hospital earlier that day for an MRI/X-ray. “I just want to take care of the hand a little now, and I think it’s just very close and unexpected for me to go there and play again, I think, as, two days.
“I think I will just sit on it and prepare for future tournaments.”
Roko admitted that the swelling in her hand was worrying, but said she did not affect her game against Osaka.
“It was pretty swollen and it was really harsh and difficult to move,” she said. “So we decided to go to make an MRI and an X -ray just to make sure nothing serious was happening, that I could have the opportunity to play.
“When I got the green light, I just had to make sure I saw physios, and we grabbed it properly before the match and a very strong cassette work. Yes, I just did as much as I could to prepare for the match.”

She says she does not want to overcome the moon for her success.
“I surround myself with people who have known me for so long, and I just like to keep a small circle,” said Roko. “I like to be really calm and quiet. So I think to go ahead, I just want to keep the same routine I usually get used to.
“I don’t want to put so much pressure on myself just because of something that happened this week, because life goes on. There is always another tour, whether win or lose. I’m just happy to live the moment.
