Mimi rhodes makes Ace-Shot-Shot ‘Incredible’ in Open Women

There is more than one way to make a hole in one.

And Sunday’s last round of AIG Women’s Open served an ACE different from any in the last memory.

Occurred in the 5th hole in PORTHCAWL ROYAL WITHIN WalesA par-3 with 214-yard where Mimi Rhodes of England drew a blow that a billiard player would make. Rhodo’s game partner, Stephanie Kyriacou, had already hit her beauty, leaving her ball only inch from the cup.

“Follow it, Mimi Rhodes,” the reporter said in the Karen Stuppples course on television broadcasting.

Well. Why not?

Rhodes blushed her shot, which landed on the front green, cast, wrapped and banished Kyriacou ball in the cup.

“I hit an 8-Herkuri really good. I hit him where I also wanted,” Rodos said. “I didn’t expect it to go inside, so I just grabbed my finger and heard everyone crazy. Extra loudly than usual, so I knew something had happened. We just walked up to green and was in the hole.

Her partner was evenly surprised.

“I’m pretending to him,” joked Kyriacou. “Although Mimi may not say that.”

Combined, both women played the 5th in three shots. Not bad. But not good enough. Rodos and Kyriacou completed the T19 and T8 tournament, respectively, after the eventual winners Miyu Yamashita.
