27 run win for Guyana Amazon Warriors
Batting first, Guyana Amazon Warriors posted a total of 135/7 in the allotted 20 overs. The team shot anchored Moeen AliHe played a crucial knock of 42 runs off 33 deliveries, providing much-needed stability. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Warriors managed to set a target of 136 for the Falcons.
In reply, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons struggled to get going, reaching 108 in 18.5 overs. Led by the Warriors’ bowlers Dwayne Pretorius and Ali put on a superior appearance. Both Pretorius and Ali scored 3 goals each, making it difficult for the Falcons’ batting line-up to gain any momentum.
Thanks to disciplined bowling and tight pitching, Guyana Amazon Warriors cruised to a comfortable 27-run win. Moeen Ali was rightly named Man of the Match for his all-round contribution.
