British sprinter looks at its 60m gold EUopyan Closed Championship in Catovice 1975

I worked for Barclays Bank then. They knew I had always gone but I didn’t think. I’m not entangled like these athletes today. We’ve all worked. Most of us had a job, and we trained after work. Everyone knew that at five o’clock on Tuesday and Thursday we would train.
We enjoyed our athletics. We enjoyed when we saw each other. We would receive a letter saying: “Hey, they want you to come to Germany. They want you to go here. ” And we went. It was an honor for us. Today is expected. Today is athletics business, it is not like that we had.
I remember going out on the way to go out on the 1976 Olympics and I was overloaded. I was constantly saying: “Oh, my gosh, look at all these people.”
When I look at certain events that I ran was absolutely pleasant. I came to the Europeans of Rome, but now I have to receive a silver medal, as the Eastern Germans owned that they use performance amplifiers. In California, I drove more than 10.8, but it was never recognized.
