Theofimo Lopez responded to the enormous setback today about the racist remarks he made to Terence Crawford, with the label of the fans a ‘Bunch of haters.“It seems WBO Light Welterweight Champion Lopez is trying to bend criticism from fans by playing the victim, rather than apologizing and admitting that he was wrong to say that. He does not take accountability for what he said, and it will not work by bending criticism of the situation.

In the past, Lopez made racist remarks and showed a reluctance to be accountable because they said this. It is unclear whether he thinks he can make Crawford angry or whoever is his target enough that they will agree to fight against him.
No excuse given
Theofimo and his father, Theofimo Sr., expressed their frustration this week about the decision of SuperStar Terence Crawford not to give them the fight they chased. Crawford moves to 168 to challenge Canelo Alvarez for his undisputed championship on September 12. It is unknown whether Lopez is serious about wanting to fight Crawford. Some fans believe he only uses Terence’s name for Clout purposes to get cheap publicity.
Lopez, 27, delivered last Friday at Times Square in New York against Arnold Barboza jr. He won the battle with a unanimous 12 -round decision, but was mostly unnecessary clowning and showboating without landing a lot of something.
It looked strange. Fighters usually do this if they dominate and make contact with many shots, but theofimo has not landed anything. He seemed to dance 12 rounds in the ring. What was really bad was how Lopez would pull back three to five steps every time the light finesse fighter Barboza jr.
Stevenson style copy?
This is exactly the same style that Shakur Stevenson uses. Some people believe that Teo has studied Shakur’s style and used it as a blueprint for the fight. It was so boring to look at. In many ways, Teo’s performance was the worst of the Big Three (Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney and Lopez) on Friday’s Times Square card.
Nothing but a bunch of haters.
