Strathyre’s Stùc A ‘Chroin Hill race hosted in Scotland on May 3
East Sutherland ATHLETICS Club and Carnethy Hill Racing Club “Naomi Lang” was victorious in the long-term race of UK and the hill championship on Saturday Stùc a ‘Chroin course.
It was a sunny day and perfect conditions for 349 runs, who resolved 22.5 km road.
The race begins in the village of Touch Lonomond and Troskhsi National Park and rises under a ball, of all the same, steeper in the gloss. The course then rises sharply each (813 m), then follow the ungraved mountain range on top of Stùc a ‘Chroin (975m). The last sharp climb is returning from the colonel, then the ultimate long-end to the stronger.
In the men’s race, Golan captured the victory at 2:04:21 a record of the course, but through the final grant of the dark peak was pushed. The Ewan Brown of CORSTORPHINE AAC took the bronze (2:05:46).
Lang was a leading woman, which also set a record of women (2:22:11). Catriona graves from rising hill runners took the silver medal (2:37:56), while the care hull was the third (2:41:45).
The grant also took about the 23-year-old gold medal in Newcastle and District Rebecca Magee, who demands women’s up to 23 gold women.
The winners of the categories of women’s veterans were highland Hill Runners, W40), Sue Richmond (Pennine Feled Runners, W45), Jean Powell (Wendy Dodds, Wendy Club, Wendy Club).
Male veteran gold medalists were Steve Halal (Keswick AC, M40), Andy Fallas (Carnethy, M45), Rob Jeb (Helm Hill, M65), Paul Cornforth (Helm Hill, M70).
