During the last 12 months, Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz have been undefeated in foursome play. So of course the pair is leading the way again for the Americans on Saturday.
A year after Korda and Corpuz were 2-0 as foursomes in Spain, that pair cruised to another victory at the Solheim Cup on Friday, becoming the first American pair to win three straight foursomes. They will try to make it four in a row on Saturday morning.
Korda and Corpuz will face Europe’s Emily Pedersen and Carlota Ciganda in the opening foursome at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club on Saturday, which begins at 7:05 a.m. ET. It will be the first major match in the morning session and will serve as a decisive moment for whichever side wins it.
The Americans took a 6-2 lead after the opening day, winning the morning foursome 3-1 and later taking the afternoon foursome 3-1.
