Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will return to Barcelona against Real Valladolid on Saturday, confirmed director Hansi Flick.
Ter Stegen descended with a knee injury in August 2024, which caused Barcelona to attract Poland International Wojciech Szczesny to retirement to cover, but has re -formed recently and was a substitute unused in the final triumph of the King’s Cup over Real Madrid.
Turn to the full fitness, Ter Stegen will make its eighth appearance of the season as a starter against Valladolid.
“He will return tomorrow,” Flick said to the media while confirmed that Ter Stegen will return to his starting line.
The head, however, refused to offer any guarantee to Ter Stegen or Szczesny, who has greatly impressed the absence of German, during the last weeks of the campaign.
“I think it’s good to turn the goalkeepers,” he said. “It’s good that Szczesny rest and recover. Ter Stegen goes well in training. You can now play. I’m not thinking of anything beyond that, only Valladolid’s game, which is for Ter Stegen. I don’t know what will happen beyond that.”
Prior to Saturday’s game, Flick confirmed that he plans to turn his squad and give his players the opportunity to rest, with the semifinal of the Champions League next week, a key focus for the head. Both parties drew 3-3 at half week And therefore, there is everything to play when Barcelona goes to Milan to return to the return.
“We need to do what the medical staff say and see who they can play,” he acknowledged. “Important days come and we should clearly turn.”
