The players needed to assert their collective voice and the PTPA lawsuit ensures that it will be heard, says Nick Kyrgios.

The lawsuit claims that ATP, WTA and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) are actively engaged in corrupt business practices that limit the ability of players to make money and limit their professional lives.

Talking to talk HeavenlyKyrgios called the lawsuit filing a historic day for players.

“I felt people knew something was happening behind the scenes for a long time,” Kyrgios told Heavenly. “We wanted to do this for the future of tennis.

“I know the players and I myself are not happy with the structures and everything that is happening in tennis at the moment.”

Wimbledon Kyrgios’s former finalist said players have called for changes and have now taken action to reach it.

“There are over 100 pages doctrines that people can read for more information,” Kyrgios said. “I don’t want to go on all the details. I have been so involved that I can be with everything I went on.

“This will be a special moment in tennis. Surely. Things needed to change. It’s a great day for tennis.”

Wild Card Kyrgios is scheduled to face Meckenzie McDonald American at Miami Open Open on Wednesday.
