Srixon ZXI5 and ZXI7 shackles are filled with performance benefits.
Golf.com
One of my main goals in the first 60 days of My new position here on golf.com It is to try a wide variety of clubs from a variety of brands, to get a feeling of what everyone does and settle in my group for summer. My self-imposed shelf life is in mid-April at the latest; I want to have a summer really grind in my game (and not my clubs!) So every device that needs to happen now.
As a complete degenerate gear, this is not a small task for me. I already have considerable betting with a couple of friends that I once down to my configuration, will change nothing by November 1st. It will be an emotional coaster.
Of all the equipment I was caught to try, my main targets at first were new Srixon zxi handcuffs (see below), Ping driver G440Putters laboratories and Taylormade Fairway Woods. Why these in particular? Well, beyond the fact that my golf friends all withdraw and run for these clubs, I have also seen the moment these special parts compete in the tours. For a club, they seem to steal in a ton of non-staff bags from year to year. This is a marker of a good golf club.

My test rules:
1 Use your regular ball: Not using test clubs if you are not using your Gamer ball.
2 Collect data inside and verify in the course: One thing for your clubs called on a hit bay, but it’s your performance in the course that really matters. If it is winter and you are limited to indoor games, I like to use trackman course skills and hit wind shots, strong greens, etc. The device will not tell you everything you need to know, but it will make you far from the road.
3 Limit variables: Ideally everything is apples for apples. Lofts, lies, shafts, balls, etc. Testing should be done in a vacuum as much as possible.
4. Do not fix: If you need to make swinging adjustments to “do something work”, stop wasting your time. That club configuration is not working for you.
5. It is not about the numbers: I always factor in confidence when I’m trying clubs. For me, it is a harmony. When I stand on the ball, or not smelt How I will hit a good blow? Does the club fit me in the eye? Do they fall into a common pattern, do they fall into a common pattern? If so can I be directed by that model at a pace? See #4.
Gamer numbers for the initial base:
Quite standard practice here. I hit 20 strokes with both my 5-Iz and 8-iron gamer not only to be released but also to get my starting numbers.
Criteria:
These five metrics are essential for any Golf-Club test, and will tell you most of what you need to know.
-Existence
-They
KE
-The kick
-Greens hit (Trackman Driving Gamma; goals settled at 160 yds and 200 yds for 8- and 5-iron, respectively)
The results of my gamer:
Medium numbers over 20 shots
5-Iron: (The roof of the fusion CALAY) 25 degrees of attic, 38 inches, std lies, dynamic publication of gold S400 120 tournament
Top speed: 133.4 mph
Departure: 13.2
Spin: 4897 rpms
KEEP: 199.6 YDS
Provides %: 15/20 75 %
8-Iron: (Callaway Apex TCB 23 ′) 37 degrees of attic, 36.5 inches, lie std, dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 120
Top speed: 118.2 mph
Departure: 18.2
Spin: 7797 rpms
KEEP: 159.8 YDS
Provides%: 18/20 90%
end:
My Callaway Setting (Full Discovery: Until recently I worked for Callaway!) It has served me well and the numbers have not changed at all over the last two years. In fact there is nothing to win beyond distance, but I would only love more yards if it meant to lose nothing else. Here it becomes complicated. Typically as soon as an iron gets, the release goes up and the spin descends.
Srixon ZXI test:
Srixon at first sight: I I want what these handcuffs look like; Both ZXI5 (for maximum accuracy and workability) and ZXI7 (player distance) are stunning. ZXI7 (Photo, below) looks a little more increased than past versions, but I dig it; At the age of 48, I am not afraid to see some extra muscles at the right points. To my eye, it seems that the upper line is a little thicker and the overall iron size is easily bigger than before. Not a big difference but something I have noticed.
ZXI5 is all I remember against previous repetitions. Perfect The size for the player’s irony, a lot of low help, but also the shape of a player you want. This is where the OEM is knocking it out of the park, by the way. When you get into the categories of the performance distance/players of these players, the look of the cuff is becoming cleaner and cleaner. Sometimes it is actually difficult to show the difference between the back of the tournament cavity and the player performance categories.

What did we learn:
The results are not as different from my Gamer handcuffs, but there was a fun finding with srixons.
While my Gir percentage with both ZXI models was really good, even my deceptions did not look or felt much like fraud. These shots not only found the greens, but their number also did not change much. My cash shots (which is my 95% miss of time) still maintained the ball speed and rotation in ways I don’t see often. I was losing only 1-2 mph of ball speed, which is a crazy number. When the results are close to a test like this, sometimes your decision -making comes down to the performance of wrongdoing. Grow people of the floor!
Lower line:
There is one reason why Srixon’s shackles are so popular. They check each box. I am extremely impressed with what I have seen so far. Will they go to the bag? We will see, but, my word, are these clubs the real deal.
The next step is to get them in the Golf Course and in some “real life” situations. This is all that matters anyway: how they perform in the course.
