Gabe Rosado says he would like to face Edgar Berlanga if he can’t get the fight he wants against Jaime Munguia or Caleb plant. Veteran Rosado says he is “much better” than Berlanga’s opponent, Jonathan Gonzalez Organ, last Saturday night in Orlando, Florida.
Gabe feels that it was “embarrassment ”” For Berlanga (23-0, 18 COs) to fight the 35-year-old Gonzalez Organ (20-1, 16 COs) in the co-function on Dazn and also come over. Rosado felt that it was embarrassed from Edgar.
Matchmaking
Many fans agree and wonder how Berlanga a bad, former and marginal fighter in the main support attack on the Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams vs. Patrice Volny card on the Caribe Royale can fight. Dazn should have set their foot down and demanded that Berlanga fight at least someone from the top 15 on 168 or 175.
He looked like a light heavyweight that was out of the shape as he entered the ring. It doesn’t matter against the Ham & Egger Gonzalez Organ, because Berlanga quickly dropped him three times in the first round.
Berlanga is unlikely to choose to fight against veteran Rosado, because either match promoter Eddie Hearn will set a fight between Edgar and Plant or Munguiaa. If not him, one of the other promoters will fix him.
Future plans
Berlanga probably hopes Turki Alalshikh will be interested in him and sign him on a three- or four-match agreement so he can make Mega millions on his cards.
Turki should know that Berlanga does not have the talent to beat top fighters on 168 or 175. If he is going to sign him, he must go well to see how he lost repeatedly unless he came up artificially using careful match. That’s what the top rank and Hearn do.
Hearn did battle Berlanga the fight against Canelo Alvarez, but the other fighters he matched were subpar. He combined against Padraig McCrory, Jason Quigley, Canelo and Jonathan Gonzalez Orthiz.
