WBA World Featherweight Champion Nick ‘The Wrecking’ Ball stopped former IBF Super Bantam champion TJ ‘The Power’ Doheny after ten rounds Saturday night in the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England.
In the main event, the WBA World Featherweight Champion Nick ‘The Wrecking’ Ball, 22-0-1 (13) stopped the former Southpaw IBF Super Bantamweight Champ TJ ‘The Power’ Doheny, 26-6 (20) at the end of ten rounds of a close battle.
In the first round, it went back and forth with Doheny having an lead. In the final seconds, Ball Doheny had in the corner. When Doheny turned around to sit down, Ball kicked him in the back of the leg and dropped him. He could be by referee Michael Alexander, who just warned Ball. In the second round, Doheny Showboated and Out Land Ball sometimes rounded 3-punch combinations.
In the third round, 38-year-old Doheny continued to expand the ball until Ball landed the last punch of the round. In the fourth round, Doheny landed more 3-punch combinations. Ball, out of frustration, started using dirty tactics with his forearm without warning from referee Alexander.
In the fifth round’s last half minute, Ball finally threw Doheny with a right on the chin and bumped him. In the sixth round, Doheny used all his experience to counteract the oncoming ball for the most part. In the last minute of the eighth round, Ball missed three strokes and countered by Doheny. In the end, Ball seems to end up more than Doheny. In the ninth of the right eye of ninth place, Doheny closed when Ball threw him to the canvas, who took referee Alexander a point from him.
In the tenth, Ball landed a flurry of unanswered blows in the first minute. Doheny fought back in Spurts. Doheny was exhausted at the end of the round. His corner stops the fight. What a courageous performance by Doheny.
In a very impressive performance, superflyweight Jack ‘El Terrier’ Turner, 11-0 (10), former Ebu and Commonwealth champion Ryan Farrag, 23-6 (6) stopped at 0:41 of the second round of a 10.
In the first round, Turner got the best of Farrag in an action round ending with half a dozen pushing the defensive farry. In the second round, Turner stormed to Farrag and landed a wave and dropped Farrag when referee Steve Gray blowed it off while Farrag was lying there.
WBC International Silver Bantamweight Champion Andrew Cain, 14-1 (12), easily won a split decision on former WBC flyweight champion Charlie Edwards, 20-2 (7) over 12 ominous rounds for the BBBOFC British and Commonwealth Boxing Titles.
In the first round, Cain Edwards chased the entire round. Edwards ends with a small cut on his hairline in the final seconds, possibly of an elbow. In the second round ‘Taunted’ Edwards to fight back. In the third round, with 30 seconds left, Cain ended up a 3-punch combination on Edward’s chin. In the eighth round, Edwards finally landed a few clips.
In the ninth round, fans began to boo Edwards’ performance. In the tenth and eleventh round, Edwards stops at times while Cain keeps him. In the twelfth and final round, the running fight continued. Shame, Edwards raises his hand and jumps on the ropes as if he wins.
The referee was Victor Loughlin. The scores were 115-114 for Cain (Latham), 115-113 (gray) for Edwards, 116-112 (McDonnell) for Cain, and 120-108 KH for Cain.
The WBA Intercontinental lightweight champion Southpaw Jadier ‘One Billion’ Herrera, 17-0 (15) In an everyday battle, former WBC Latino champion Jose ‘el increible’ Macias, 21-4-2 (8) stopped for the first time in his career at 2:31.
In an action -packed first round, the longer Herrera landed capital letters while Macias’s wild left brackets. In the second round, Herrera Macias drove to a neutral angle with a wave of pushing halfway into another action. In the third round, Herrera had the lead in another good round, with an edge remaining and almost dropping Macias. In the fourth and fifth rounds, Herrera began to appear when Macias continued to come forward.
In the sixth round, Macias got his part of perpendicular and left brackets to the chin. In the final seconds, Herrera’s head caused a cut on Macias’s left eyebrow. In the seventh round, Macias, who preferred the cut, was hit with half a dozen push without return, and referee John Latham called a stop, with Macias complaining.
Former WBO European Champion Brad Strand, 12-2 (4), lost a split decision to the former WBC International Champ Ionut ‘Il Capo’ Baluta, 17-5-1 (3) over 10 rounds, for the vacant WBO European Super Bantamweight title.
Strand hurled Baluta with a right on the chin in the first round on the halfway and struck him a few steps, although Baluta took the round. From the second to fifth place, Baluta was the aggressor in a close fight, and Strand countered and knocked out Baluta’s mouthpiece in the fifth round.
In the sixth round, referee Marcus McDonnell warned Baluta for the use of his shoulder. Later, Strand sustained a cut to the left eyebrow of a clash of heads. At the end of the seventh round, Baluta ends up a right on the chin and stops beach in its tracks. In the ninth round, Baluta walked at the foot of Strand, which hit the canvas, and Ref McConnell ruled a knockout. In the tenth and last round, Baluta seemed to have a lead.

The middleweight Stephen ‘Stevo’ Clarke, 6-0 (1), easily defeated Dmitri Protunas, 8-18-1 (1) with a decision of six round points.
In the first four rounds, Clarke was the aggressor and elaborate protests. In the fifth round, Protunas had a cut to his left eyebrow. In the sixth and final round, Protunas continued with his gloves high and on defense when Clarke brought a standby.
Referee Steve Gray scored the battle 60-54.
Super Bantamweight Southpaw Leighton Birchall, 1-0 (1) knocked out Laszlo Bernath, 1-1 (1) at 1:55 of the second round of a scheduled 4 round.
In the first round, Birchall landed a flurry of push and dropped Bernath in the final seconds, while referee John Latham started the score of eight, while the clock sounded to the salvation of Bernath. In the second round, Birchall landed a 3-punch combination, after Bernath was defenseless against the ropes when referee John Latham blew it off.
Welterweight Lucas Biswana, 2-0 (1), defeated Ezequiel Gregores, 3-21, with a four-round decision.
Referee Steve Gray scored it 40-36.
Featherweight Southpaw William Birchall, 1-0 (1), battle Angel Gomez, 8-44-3 (4) at 0:48 of the second round of a scheduled 4-round battle.
In the second round, Birchall landed a wave of pushing and dropped Gomez on the canvas, causing referee John Latham to blow it away.
Super Welterweight Lewis Lawton, 1-0 (1), knocked out Artjom Spatar, 4-13-1 (1) at 1:15 of the first round of a scheduled four rounds.
In the first round, Lawton landed a left hook under Spatar’s elbow and dropped him on the canvas. When he tried to get up, he fell again and was swung away by referee Steve Gray.
Heavyweight Joe Bourne, 0-1) with Cristian ‘The Cracker’ Uwaka, 1-5-1 (1) over four rounds.
Referee John Latham scored 38-38.
