Jadier Herrera (16-0, 14 COs) called out WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson today and demanded that he claimed “Send a contract” for them to fight. Herrera, 22, told Shakur to stop “running, I’m coming for you.

Herrera is on #10 WBC, and has recently been transferred in favor of the electrician Josh Padley For Shakur’s fight last month on the Riyadh card on February 22. It was a clear example of a duck work by Stevenson and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, who chose for the feather fist Padley rather than Jadier. They called out Herrera and it came back to bite them behind when Shakur struggled to defeat Padley.
If he had chosen Herrera, he would have looked heroic and tried to avoid the enormous bombs he would drop on him all night. It probably wouldn’t have ended well for Shakur, but he would have shown a little courage at least before he was taken out. The last time Stevenson lost was to a Cuban in the 2016 Olympics Robeisy ramirez Beat him and let him cry. Jadier is a more powerful version of Robisy.
“Stop running”
Dev Sahni: “If it’s Shakur Stevenson there, I wonder. Do you have a message there for the future? ‘Ask Sahni Queensberry About lightweight contender Jadier Herrera’s interest in the challenge of WBC 135-pound champion Shakur Stevenson.
Herrera Cores: “Listen, don’t run anymore. Send me a contract. The time comes. Send me a contract. I come to you. The time comes. Don’t run anymore. I’m here. I know the people. My name is Herrera. I come to you. Send me a contract, okay? I’m waiting for my time. Listen, Shakur. Send me a contract. Let’s fight. I’m not here to play. ‘
Herrera was one of the fighters considered for Stevenson after his originally scheduled opponent, Floyd Schofield, pulled out with a sudden illness. Rather than choosing the talented Cuban, Jadier Herrera, Shakur and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, played it safely with the light Padley, which was a horrible battle. Shakur looked awful to hit a man with no power that lasted longer than he should have given his marginal ability.
Herrera fights Jose Macias Enriquez (21-3-2, 8 costs) In a 10-round fought this Saturday, March 15, on the bottom map of Nick Ball against TJ Doheny event in the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England.
Glass Hands -Risk
I hate to say that, but Jadier is wrong for Shakur, and it is understandable why he and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, avoided him like the pest. The Cuban has one -off power in any hand, and the size of giving Stevenson massive problems.
Shakur’s glass hands Should put him at the grace of Herrera, because to have a chance against him, Herrera cuts off the ring too well and would fall into the Newark native in a noise.
