Bad holes occur. you pump in the tree. You dip an iron into the drink. Mistakes are addedAnd before you know, you are getting instead of going out. Officially, this is allowed unless you are playing in a competition that stops it. But if you keep a handicap – which you need – You need to post a number. Which question: What result do you need to write about a hole you don’t finish?
Handicap rules provide guidance on this, too. Here’s how to determine the number of shocks you most likely ask for.
How to determine your score when you get
If your ball is in green no more than 5 meters from the hole, add a blow. If your ball is in green 5-20 meters from the hole, add 2 to 3 strokes, depending on the difficulty of your green and your ability. And if the ball is more than 20 yards from the hole, add 3 to 4 strokes, depending on the difficulty of your shooting and ability.
In those last two cases, there is some width for interpretation. Should, for example, a 10 handicap golf player faced with a slippery footer 15 expected both or three-putt? Reasonable people may disagree. But it is the player’s responsibility to assess the situation and determine what they believe are most likely more than 50 percent of the time.
What is the maximum result you can do in a hole?
As an additional protection, there is another mechanism to ensure that the recorded result is a fair reflection of the demonstrated ability of players.
Is called the dual net limit. The result you record cannot exceed it.
What is the dual net limit? Happy you asked. Is equal to a double noise plus any handicap you get based on your course handicap. Let’s say, for example, that you are playing a Par-4 where you get a stroke. Even if you make a full hole hash, the maximum result you can write for handicap purposes is 7 – a double noise, plus a blow you get based on your course handicap.
This may seem like a lot of mathematics. It is not, indeed. Moreover, if you post your score using the Hole-by-Vrima option in your result posting application, double double net adjustment applies automatically.
