Promotor Oscar de la Hoya questions whether Devin Haney can return from the cruel twelve rounds of punishment he sustained in his fight against Ryan Garcia in April. The 1992 Olympic Golden Medal, De la Hoya, says that when fighters are beaten as badly as Haney (31-0, 15 COs), “You do not restore” to be the same.

Recovery Questioned
Oscar predicts that Haney will fall apart on the Fatal Fury Square in New York on May 2, long before he and Ryan fight in October. If it is true that De la Hoya is true that Haney Ramirez (29-2, 19 COs) should defeat to get the profitable Rematch with Kingry, the second battle will not happen.
Turki Alalshikh will still have to be prepared to make the Garcia against Haney 2 less than favorable circumstances. Maybe he would. If this fight is only about entertainment and not sports, it doesn’t matter if Haney is blown out of the water by former WBC and WBO Light Welterweight Champion Ramirez.
