Golf is hip. Golf is inside. And Reebok is seeing his biggest competitors making waves, thinking “Why not us?” After all, they are one of the biggest in the industry not to offer a legitimate golf line.

All jokes aside, the question is one of, if not the most iconic exclusivities in the Reebok repertoire. This was my initial reaction to seeing the reebok og pump golf shoe. Is pump technology really needed in a golf shoe? No. But is it cute and am I excited about it? Heck, yes!
As I mentioned, I am a little young I have experienced the full hypothesis of Reebok pump technology, but I have seen plenty of Shaq clips, Dennis Rodman and Dee Brown to paint a clear view of the hype behind it.
After doing some research, I was surprised to read that this is not the first time Reebok threw a pump on a golf shoe. Greg Norman was actually an early technology adopter again in the 80s. Who knew?
For those who have not experienced the “pump”, here is a quick breakdown;
- Inflation bladder fills with air to hug the foot
- System of quick release
- It allows athletes to personalize and call in their adaptation, say.
While I’m not sure exactly how the “pump” is applied to the Og Pump Golf shoe (is it all shoes, just language, etc.), I know that having that iconic pump technology from the outside gives this shoe a chance of retail, especially with the “most seasoned” crowd.
