Terence Crawford says he feels that the media rejected his chance to strike Canelo Alvarez on the Super Middleweight, as they did when he fought Errol Spence.
Crawford (41-0, 31 costs) mentions that the media says they have never seen a smaller ‘big fighter’ move two divisions and beat a bigger, ‘big fighter’. He feels that he has already proven that he can beat a bigger fighter when he defeated Spence in 2023, and he will do it again if he faces Canelo (62-2-2, 39 COs).
“Never done?”
Crawford claims it has never been done, where a ‘big’ fighter has moved two divisions to defeat a ‘big’ world champion. If he considers himself “big”, it’s a bit of a piece, given his weak resume. Even if Crawford does win, he will probably make it boring by following the Mayweather’s blueprint and hitting, moving and holding all night. It will make any Win Crawford that Crawford can get cheap, which makes it controversial. If Canelo does all night all the under pressure and lands the harder shots, it will of course lead to controversy if Crawford wins by beating and running as Floyd did.
