An emotional raducan exploded in tears and took refuge after the Umpire chair stay after discovering the male stalker two games in her second round Dubai Vs. Carolina in the civilian.
Dubai police arrested the man, who is a tourist.
“Following Raducanu’s complaint, Dubai police arrested a tourist who approached her, left a note, made her photo and engaged in behavior that caused her concern during the tennis tennis championship in Dubai,” the Dubai media office said in a statement.
Raducanu filed charges against the man, who signed a statement essentially the equivalent of a restrictive order agreeing to maintain the distance from it.
Raducanu’s team members told British media that she was scared because the fixed fan had previously appeared in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Doha before approaching her to a cafe in Dubai and appearing in her first two games.
Following her second round to Dubai, Raducanu reportedly considered to take time from the tour before deciding to play Indian Wells.
The 2021 Open Open champion will be surrounded by tournament in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden with WTA also empowered to provide increased security measures if necessary.
A year ago, Raducanu played BNP Paribas Open on a wild card and reached the third round, leaning against Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 7-5.
