Turki Alalshikh plans to have Canelo Alvarez to fight the ultimate winner of Chris Eubank Jr’s and Conor Benn’s fighting in 2026. The two fighters will compete twice on the British delivery, which starts on April 26 at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London. Fans wanted to see Canelo position, such as David Banavidez, not fighting these two guys.
Turki told Sky Sports that he wanted the Eubank JR-Benn winners to challenge the United Super Middleweight Champion Canelo (62-2-2, 39 COs) for his belts next year.
This move will please British fans, who enjoy Eubank Jr. And Benn to watch. However, none of these fighter rates are a world title that was shot against Canelo by 168 or even a fight in general. To give the winner of the two Eubank Jr.-Benn, fighting a title against Canelo sends the wrong message.
Sports or business?
This is similar to what we see with Terence Crawford moving two weight classes to challenge Canelo for his three belts on 168 in September. These fighters must beat the top contenders at Super Mid -Legiar to earn a battle for Alvarez’s three belts.
What seems to happen is a changed from sports to business. Canelo’s fights against Crawford and the Eubank JR-Benn winner are not sports level fights. It is a business and celebrity level fighting, which is good, but it will be better for the fans than Turki has described these games as such. First, we saw it with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fighting against MMA heavyweight Francis Ngannou. Crawford and the Eubank JR-Benn winner are now fighting for Canelo for his belts at 168. This is at business level fights.
American fans consider the 35-year-old Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 COs) and Benn (23-0, 14 COs) not as world class fighters. They see them as a career -long fighters at British level, which for whatever reason never acts to the world level. These are the children of famous British boxers, and they have made good money in their careers, though they never stare.
Enough British fans will order the Canelo against Eubank JR-Benn winner on PPV to do decent numbers. It holds Canelo long enough to enter into the fourth of his contract with Turki with a good chance of being 3-0. Canelo recently entered into an agreement with four battle with Turki.
