The last player to hit the Top-20 in the ATP tour is ready to be next in Top-10. This would be British No.1 Jack draperwhich is up to no.12 in this week’s rankings for a new high career.
Draper, who moved to Top-20 for the first time after reaching the semifinals of his daughter Grand Slam at US Open, has only 40 points to protect in Indian Wells and Miami, so there is a good chance he can do it by the end of the march
Draper, who lost the Doha final in Andrey Rublev, is 7-2 per season. He reached the second week in Australian Open before falling to Carlos Alcaraz when he was forced to withdraw after two groups.
RIO provides boot pillow
Rio produced a quartet of Breakout show-and a high-ranking quartet.
Runner Alexandre Muller rises 19 spots, making his highest debut in a high career no.41. He reached his first 500 final over the weekend, falling to Sebastian Baez in the final.
Camilo Ugo Carabelli jumped 22 points in a high career no.69 after reaching his ATP maiden semifinal as a lucky loser.
Francisco Comeana recorded his biggest career victory when he released Alexander Zverev of the second seed to reach his first ATP 500 quarterfinal. He is thrown in a high career no. 67.
Finally, Jaime Faria of Portugal makes his debut 100 Top, dancing 20 points in No.87 after reaching the quarter -finals in Rio.
Chinese Chinese CHUN-HSIN TAPEI is the biggest lifter within the Top-100 ATP this week. It is up to 26 points in no.99 after reaching the quarter -finals of the qualification. Belgium’s Raphael Collignon also makes a debut of Top-100, 24 at no.98 after winning PAU, France Challenger.
