Coach Andy Lee is demanding a title fight next for Joseph Parker against WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr uksk after his second round victory against Martin Bakole last Saturday night at the Riyadh venue.
It is understandable why Lee wants to push the USyk battle for Parker, because it is a big payday for him. He is not going to fight next time. Defeating bakingols is not enough for Parker to hit his ticket for a fight against USKyk.
Bakole: a meaningless victory
Lee feels that the victory for Parker (36-3, 24 COs) over the 310-pound, outside the form of Bakole (21-2, 16 COs), all needed Joseph to get a title shot. Bakole was brought in on two days of notice and was about 30 pounds overweight.
