Saturday’s re -broadcast between undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Betterur Betterbiev and Dmitri Biblical have so far failed to generate that spark to make fans as excited compared to their first fight last October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight doesn’t get the same buzz.
There is a lack of drama lacking between Betterbiev (21-0, 20 COs) and former WBA 175-pound champion Bivol (23-1, 12 COs) in building their re-broadcast this Saturday 22 February in the Kingdom Arena.
Missing spark
-Bivol’s non-filled show in the first fight
– No controversy
-Brecking to trash talk
– Too many compelling battles on the bottom map
The previous fight was quite dull because Biblical would not stand and fight and fled from the seventh round. Betterbiev rushed Dmitry around the ring and was constantly held when he got close. It was a boring battle to look at, but not because of betterbiev.
BIVOL’s style
It would have been better than Turki Alalshikh Had the idea of a better Biev-Bivol-Rematch and instead matched Betterbiev against David Benavidez or David Morrell. One of these guys would produce a lot more excitement of fans than to use Biblical again, which fights much like Shakur Stevenson. It’s not a style that fans want to see.
Many boxing fans do not like to watch fighters who refuse to get involved and hold a lot. That’s how Bisvol fought for the last seven rounds. In interviews for the re -broadcast, Bivolution says he wants to move more. Listening to it makes it impossible to get excited about a second fight. Some people like to watch defensive fighters, but unfortunately not enough.
“Even when we were in the national team, we didn’t talk too much. We were in different weight classes, but we were not like friends or anything, ”Dmitri Biblical said Boxing King Media On whether he can be friends with Artur Betterbiev after fighting Saturday night. “We had another group of friends. I respected him because he was #1 in the national team.
“I watched him practice because he was older and he was #1,” Biblical said.
