Soloist Daniil Medvedev The order of a single goal: becoming a successful two-hour.
Today Medvedev took a big step towards completing his search.
Wild Card Medvedev withdrew from all five points of rest he faced by defeating Jan-Lennard struff 6-3, 6-2 to reach its 57th semifinal of the tournament and the first semifinal of the season in Marseille.
Wta: Stefano Vukov will remain suspended
Master of many cities, Medvedev has won all of his 20 ATP titles in 20 different cities.
Now, the 2021 Champion Marseille Medvedev stands two wins away from a career first: winning the same tour twice.
Under the early pressure against the Great Great German, Medvedev rescued a pair of resting points to hold in both the fourth and sixth games.
Then, ex. 1 dropped the set by turning its third point of resting forward before 4-3.
Medvedev denied a fifth resting point supporting the rest for 5-3. The clumsy medvedev converted his second point to go to a group.
The second set saw Medvedev wrapped 12 out of 14 points in the service in an extension while he enabled 4-1 lead. Medvedev closed in 78 minutes.
Former Australian finalist Open Medvedev has been playing for his first title since he won Rome of 2023. Eighteen of his 20 titles have come to a difficult court.
This marks the first appearance of the ATP-250 of Medvedev since 2023 and may first be a springboard for a career.
Next for Medvedev is either Daniel Altmaier OR Hamad Medjedovic in tomorrow’s semifinals.
Previously, favorite at home Ugo Humbert used his left service to cut Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 6-4 and mark his 150th career victory.
The second seed Hostet won 29 out of the 34 points of the first service and saved all three points of rest with whom he faced a 98-minute victory.
Denialing Sonego his 150th career victory, Humbert continued his tough tears under one roof on the land of the house.
Consider that Humbert has been almost invincible at home inside.
Humbert is 16-1 in his last 17 games played inside the French soil. This belt includes winning titles in 2023 Metz and Marseille last season, as well as its electrification in Paris last November. Humbert reached the final of his ATP 1000 girl at Rolex Paris Masters falling at Alexander Zverev in the final.
On Saturday, Humbert will face Zizou bergs for a place in the Marseille final.
