After a week of watching at Pebble Beach’s Oceanfront Vistat, PGA Tour goes east in the dryer (and rowdier) WM Phoenix Open.
Scottie Scheffler is a favorite of runaway bets, with Sports fanatics Putting his chances to win at +280. The second on that list is Justin Thomas at +1400. Even Scheffler’s chances of 10 Top 10 are absurd: -280.
In the latest episode of the Golf’s Podcast, co-host Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz made their choices for this week and decided to go the best 10th path.
“I think (Scheffler) will win, but I’m not choosing it here,” Knost said. “For me, my favorite golf bet of the week, I’m going a Top-10 game. Give me Justin Thomas (+165). He likes this place very much, I like where he is, he loves this golf course, loves this tour. Finished desert finish in American Express, will have very similar conditions this week. He is not afraid of the crowd – he will play well. “
Stoltz also made a game of Top-10, going with Sahith Theegala (+400).
“I’m going to a limb; I love it, ”said Stoltz. “He’s a lot of fun to see. He likes to watch his short game.”
Theegala almost won here in 2022 as an exception to a sponsor, but he rejected the PAR-4 17 hole and lost in a play off from a shot. He was tied up for the 39th at TPC Scottsdale next year and was fifth last year.
