The winter freezing weather left for Florida this week. I thought when I was transferred to South Florida I would get out of the cold for the better, but Mother Nature had other ideas.
with PGA shows in Orlando For the week, I and some friends decided to ride in Streamong for a winter round. The forecast was not excellent, but despite the poor weather, we had a good time.
If you have one Cold and wet weather round Coming, here are five tips you can use to make sure it’s a nice day.
1.
Before the round, one of my friends bought me some rain gloves for the day – and I thank the goodness he did. With the rain that went down all day, my normal glove became wet and slippery. After crossing the rain glove, things became significantly better. While it was still a little unclear in the course, at least I didn’t have to worry about my slide. If you are playing in poor weather, rain gloves are necessary.
2. Get the right gear
A must in cold and rain is the right gear. If you are not properly equipped, you will have a terrible time. Things you need include, rain pants, a rain jacket, rain gloves, a rain hat, an umbrella and a fresh towel. Packing some hands heaters is also a great idea.
3 Manage your expectations
Playing in bad weather is much tougher than to play in pristine conditions. It is important to remember that this is coming in because you are forced to hit some weak shots. Remember this when you hit the inevitable poor blow and don’t let you go down.
4. Enjoy the experience
Sometimes you will play a great course in poor winter conditions. When this happens, remember to embrace the experience. It may not be ideal for playing in wild weather, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the course. I tried to remember this as we played flowing through the elements.
5. Keep fun
A great way to forget the elements is to keep things light. You probably won’t shoot a better career in poor weather, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun. Come with a game that you and your partners playing can play so you can stay competitive and have fun while you are doing it.
