This is Meredith Scheffler, for those who follow together. But why all this speak of private chefs among the Elite of PGA Tour? Because Scheffler was doing some cooking during the holidays and accidentally sent himself to the hospital.
Curious golf fans have left to ask last month – like Scheffler has been forced to leave for recovery from the incident – what actually happened? As the reigning champion of Arnold Palmer Invitational, Scheffler gave a virtual press conference last week, explaining that it happened while he was trying to do Ravioli.
Ravioli?!?

“We wanted to make them from scratch, so you have to roll the dough and you have to trim the dough,” Scheffler began. “But we were in a rental house, so we didn’t have the right tools and the only thing was a glass of wine we found.”
You may know where this was going. The number 1 player in the world is not much of a wine drunkard, he says, but he was pressing glass forms of Christmas tree cookies.
“(Wine glass) broke down and the type of flows took me in hand,” Scheffler said. “Oni one of those deals where – I can’t live in a bubble, I have to live my life and accidents happen. You know, it could have been much worse.
“I actually talked to someone who did the same and flowed directly through their hand. Onhe one of those deals where immediately after it happened I was angry with myself because I was like Gosh, that’s so stupid But you just don’t think about it when you are in the moment. “
According to Scheffler, he has been flooded with horror stories by friends and acquaintances since those who have had similar injuries after bathing in a glass of wine. But none of them is the biggest golf player in the world, which needs bad hands to attract his trade. Some players use specific hand creams and specific bandages to heal their hands from scrap. Which partially explains why Scheffler ended up in the hospital during the holidays because he could show that something was not completely right with his right hand.
“I have a home friend who is a surgeon and he helped us stop bleeding,” Scheffler said. “Then it really wasn’t terrible, but I knew I was confused just because the way my hand wasn’t moving too much – and if I did it, it hurt very badly. So I knew something was over We were planning to leave the next day. At home that works with my friend who is a hip surgeon. Refer to. and he did a great job, I managed to recover very quickly.
