The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off one of the most impressive seasons in recent MLB history.
They were World Series favorites heading into the year, given their free agent acquisitions and player signings, and finally fulfilled the prophecy by winning the Fall Classic.
Many baseball fans were disappointed with the Dodgers’ handling of the business, citing their player delays and their depth in the luxury tax as major problems for baseball’s future.
The Dodgers are all about winning and winning alone, and seem oblivious to the outside noise and frustration with how they’ve been doing lately.
If anything, the Dodgers spent this offseason sticking their fortunes in the other team’s face, acquiring higher-caliber players.
One of those was Rocky Sasaki, a pitcher who is said to have an immediate impact on the future of the Dodgers and the league in general.
Magic Johnson, who part-owns the team, made sure to give Sasaki a welcome announcement at the X when the team officially announced his signing.
I want to give a warm welcome to Rocky Sasaki, I look forward to seeing you play in our Dodger blue this season 👏🏾 https://t.co/AcQhhya6zm

Johnson has seen many high-caliber players come in and out of Los Angeles, whether with the Dodgers, Lakers or another sports team in the area.
Los Angeles seems to attract some of the best players in the world, given how strong the market is for promoting personal brands, so it’s not necessarily surprising that people want to play for the Dodgers.
Their system worked well for them last season, but will it work for another year, leading to their second consecutive championship?
