Right arm fast bowler Muhammad Shami was removed from India’s playing XI First T20I vs England at Eden GardensKolkata. Despite expectations that he will return to international cricket after recovering from his injury, Shami’s absence has raised eyebrows among fans.
The reasons for the expulsion of Mohammad Shami
The decision to drop Shami from the squad comes as India opted to heavily bolster the spin department for this match. captain Suryakumar Yadav revealed that the team management had decided to include only one specialist pacer, Arshdeep Singhwhile relying on pace bowling all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
“The lid looks sticky, then it will be dewy. It will be harder later.” Yadav said during the shooting. “Choose a good headache by sticking to our strengths” When asked about Shami’s absence, he said.
Meanwhile, England have made a few changes and named their T20I squad Brendon McCullum as their new white ball coach. Boasting a line-up full of Battle powerhouses, the team looks formidable on paper and promises an explosive start in the first T20I.
“He looks like a good goalkeeper, I’m sure it will be a good match. There will be some dew around. It’s a great pitch, it’s an honor to play against India in these conditions.” said the England captain If Buttler after losing his shot. “McCullum is responsible, he has a lot of experience. It will be difficult, we are ready for it. There’s incredible talent on both sides.” he added.
