The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series after finishing the 2024 regular season 98-64 and winning the National League West.
The Dodgers then took off this offseason as they acquired several big-name pitchers to further improve their roster for the 2025 season.
They include starter Blake Snell of the San Francisco Giants, starter Rocky Sasaki coming over from Japan and reliever Tanner Scott of the San Diego Padres.
While the Dodgers roster looks good, they are dealing with a pitcher injury in their bullpen.
MLB insider Bob Nightingale recently updated the team’s plan for Michael Kopech.
“There is no structural damage to Kopech’s forearm, just inflammation, so the Dodgers plan to be cautious with him early in the season,” Nightingale wrote in the X.

Kopech could reportedly miss up to a month to start the season.
He made his debut in 2018 with the Chicago White Sox, but missed the 2019 season due to injury and the 2020 season due to being waived due to the pandemic.
In 2024 with the Dodgers and White Sox, Kopech appeared in 67 games and went 6-8 with 15 saves, a 3.46 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 67.2 innings.
Kopic was expected to be a major contributor to the Dodgers bullpen in 2025, but that will be delayed until they ensure he is 100 percent healthy long term.
