One of the PGA Tour’s most popular games – the favorite of No. 1 World Scottie Scheffler – will now be easier than ever to get your hands on.
The K Grit has been a staple of the Vokey line for several years, boasting the widest sole of any grind in the lineup and 14 degrees of effective inflation, making it a great option out of the sand or in soft turf conditions. But that extreme jump was no longer friendly in the tough conditions Tour pros are used to.
A few years ago, some professionals approached the man himself, Bob Vokeyand tour representatives Aaron Dill about creating a lower jump version of the K grind to take advantage of the wide sole in rougher conditions.
“As a result of these requirements, we created a K grind sole with 6 degrees of effective crunch, while maintaining the wide camber that makes the K grind design so useful for a wide variety of players,” said Vokey. “As soon as we brought it to the tournament, it was immediately accepted and in many players’ bags once they had a chance to test it.”
both Scheffler AND Xander Schauffele used low-K blow grinding to win big titles last season and the grind has been available to consumers through the Vokey WedgeWorks program for the past few years.
But for the first time, Vokey is bringing the 6-degree low-K jump grind to the regular SM10 Vokey Wedge Formation as in a 58 and 60 degree lobe wedge. The new low bounce K will be available at retail stores, marking the 26th and 27th loft and bounce combinations in the SM10 retail line.

The new wedges also add a new low-inflation offering to the regular lineup in addition to the 58 and 60T quad-jump wedges.
“In recent years, our low-jump wedges in the line have always had narrow, crescent-shaped soles,” said Corey Gerrard, director of marketing at Vokey. “Whether it was L grind or T grind, for some players, those aren’t necessarily the most forgiving single designs for a low inflation wedge. The addition of the .06K allows us to give players – some of whom may fit somewhere between a .08M grind and a .04T grind – a low bounce wedge that still offers forgiveness, especially out of the bunker.”
The Vokey Design SM10 58.06K and 60.06K points will cost $189 and will be available for pre-sale at February 6 and arrive at retail on March 7.
