Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to make another controversial decision that is likely to alienate even more fans, with Marcus Rashford potentially one of three players to leave in the current window.

Rashford has made Barcelona his preferred destinationand apparently he has even given the Catalan giants a deadline for which he wants any agreement to be made.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe could authorize three big January sales

Given that all three appear to have compelling enough reasons to want to leave the Old Trafford outfit, selling them could seem to make a lot of sense.

However, all three have grown up in Man United’s academy, and while Garnacho initially spent time at Getafe and Atletico Madrid’s youth facilities, he could also be considered a local.

Man United could have to make two unthinkable sales!

To that end, it would be a PR disaster for the club if Ratcliffe decides to seal the deal and therefore not have to worry about the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules in the summer.

Not to mention that it would greatly weaken Ruben Amorim’s squad at this point in the season.

Ratcliffe is already on very uncomfortable ground with supporters after a string of poor decisions recently, and it is within his power to overrule Amorim if he believes one or all three players can offer United a better future.

While it is accepted that difficult decisions must be made in the name of progress, this would surely be the last straw for fans.
