The Los Angeles Dodgers win the eighth World Series title in franchise history by defeating the New York Yankees in five games.
After winning the World Series, the Dodgers went right back to work this offseason as they signed free agent starter Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants.
While the Dodgers’ starting rotation already looks good, they are coming off another free agent starting pitching this offseason.
Rocky Sasaki is a starting pitcher from Japan who will join MLB in free agency for the 2025 season, but he has not yet signed with a team.
According to Foul Territory’s ‘X’, Sasaki faces the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Sasaki is part of a stacked free agent class of starting pitchers that includes Corbin Burns, Snell and Max Fried, all of whom have already signed with new teams through 2025.
The Dodgers are reportedly one of the most likely teams to sign Sasaki, so his meeting with them today should give us more information.
Sasaki is 23 years old and has had a dominant season with his overseas team in 2024.
In 2024, Sasaki appeared in 18 games and posted a 10-5 record with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings.
The Dodgers play Sasaki on Tuesday, and he could decide which team to sign with as early as this week.
While the Dodgers were considered the favorites to sign Sasaki, there have also been reports that the San Diego Padres are also in the market for him.
