The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start on March 23, 2025. The start date of India’s prestigious cricket tournament has been shifted by more than a week. However, no announcement has been made regarding the final date.
The decision to change the start date was announced by BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla. It is believed that this decision was taken at the extraordinary general meeting of the BCTI, where the new secretary and treasurer of the BCTI were officially appointed.

IPL 2025 will start on March 23
The start date of IPL 2025 was earlier on March 14. Addressing reporters after BCCI’s SGM, Rajeev Shukla announced that the tournament will now begin on March 23, though he did not reveal the change in the dates of the playoffs and finals.
