Tank Davis wants to “tax” Ryan Garcia again … for a whopping $150 million!

Gervonta Davis says he’ll fight Ryan Garcia again, “taxes his a**,” but he wants $150 million for the rematch. That’s his fixed asking price, and he’ll wait for it to be sent to him before agreeing to fight the young social media star again.

Two years ago, Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) knocked out Garcia in the seventh round, albeit with the advantage of two-point weight determinations of a 136-lb catch weight and 10-lb rehydration limit.

Amazingly, Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) agreed to both, and it was his downfall as he appeared to heat up to death during the fight. He appeared thin and sickly.

Tank and his management got along with Garcia, who was desperate and naive to the world at the time, and foolishly agreed. What a dummy. I bet Tank and his team laughed at Ryan when he agreed to this pretence.

Tank’s $150 million fantasy

“I will tax it again. Tell them boys to give me $150 m’s. I’m coming,” Gervonta Davis said on Instagram. Tell them to send that bag and I’ll come.”

For a rematch to have a chance to happen, Gervonta, 30, would have to come off his $150 million cool claims and come back with the weight issues that may feel like he needs to get an edge.

KingRy is the A side?

A lot has changed since Davis fought Ryan in 2023, and Kingry’s popularity has skyrocketed beyond where the Baltimore native is right now. If anything, it will be Garcia who is the A side in the negotiations.

Money-wise, Tank could be lucky and get paid $30 million if Turki Al-Shiekh gets involved to help make a fight between him and Garcia.

Davis has hurt his career by picking just one fight since his win over Garcia, Frank Martin, then making another blunder by choosing to fight Lamont Roach next on March 1st.

It’s a combination of lack of ambition, fear, and just basic laziness on Tank Davis’ part to not fight the right fights to increase his popularity rather than hurt it. More than anything, it’s just plain old fashioned fear. Gervonta is afraid to take risks. The forces of inertia got him. An object is resistant to change without something putting a fire under it to make it move.
