BCCI is seeking answers from head coach Gautam Gambhir and chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar

Apart from the Perth Test, India looked extremely weak in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Gautam Gambhir’s role as a coach has come under the scanner as many of his decisions have been highlighted in the media and the BCCI is ready to question them as well.

Reports added that Gambhir and his support will not be fired for now as the BCCI’s focus is on the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The meeting will also discuss the England series and team selection for the eight-nation tournament.

It is learned that Suryakumar Yadav will continue as T20I captain while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s place in ODIs is safe. However, their place in the Tests will be debated.
