Speaking to Lallanthop, Robin Uthappa opened up about the whole ‘Mr Fix-it’ controversy and revealed his methods while in the dressing room. He feels it is wrong to disturb a player in the middle series or tournament.

“I am the kind of person who, if something happens, I mention it directly. I know people in the team individually. But as the tour, the tournament goes on, I don’t talk to any of them because every player has their own routine and mindset,” Uthappa said.

“It doesn’t seem right to enter their space at this time. That’s why I don’t talk to anyone during the tournament, I don’t text anyone, whether they play well or badly. If they play badly, I send them a message to motivate them.”

“If they have done well, made some records, I congratulate them. That being said, I don’t interact. But I don’t know who Mr. Fix-it is in this matter. People say it is speculation. For me, there is no smoke without fire in the Indian team.” he added.

When asked about the identity of the player, Robin Uthappa predicted that the player is big and specifically named Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. He criticized the player for trying to create differences during the crucial series.

“But for me, I am concerned about the right reception of the Indian team. Especially during an important series. It’s the most important series and even if it happens this time, keep it in, why take it out? Families have differences all the time,” he added.
