It’s rare that I hear about a product that does something that has never been done before. But every now and then, something surprises me. And this year (well, 2024 and 2025), it looks like the launch monitor space is starting to evolve in ways unseen before.
Late last year, it was the Garmin Approach R50. However, this year, the spotlight is on Foresight Sports as they release the all-new GC3S.
As the successor to the GCS, the GC3S has big shoes to fill. It’s not that hard to follow a perennial award winner, is it?
On the surface, the GC3S looks very similar to its smaller sibling: three cameras (hence the name) and the classic body shape and Foresight display.
No, it’s not what’s on the outside that makes this device one of the coolest things I’ve seen this year. It’s what it does when paired with the Bushnell X3 Pro Link rangefinder that sets it apart. And, yes, in case you forgot, Foresight and Bushnell now fall under the same Vista Outdoor umbrella. We have all been waiting for a “collaboration” of this scale between two major technology brands.
So what do you get when Foresight and Bushnell get cozy with each other?

“S” stands for “Smart”
I’m not sure what goes into naming the Foresight GC3S, but if you tell me the “S” stands for “Smart,” I’ll have to believe you because I’m not sure there’s a smarter set of devices out there. golf technology. there than the new GC3S and the X3 Pro Link range.
Here’s how they work.
The golfer (you) uses the GC3S to learn your distances with each club. The GC3S then connects to the X3 beam finder to share this action data. From here, the rangefinder is then able to suggest two clubs for you to choose from wherever you are on the golf course.
That’s right. It’s like a portable box that uses your real numbers collected in GC3S to suggest the right club(s).
But that’s not all it does.
Another crazy feature the GC3S has is the custom “Play As” distance. Where Bushnell Normal Distance takes into account a general trajectory pattern when calculating slope, the GC3S and the new X3 Pro Link use your personal trajectory to derive a number that is more accurate for your game.
Isn’t that nuts?
If that’s not enough, it also provides club distribution data (overlaid on a virtual hole) so you know what your loss is with each club, and it uses real-time location data to factor in things like wind and weather in every shot.
However, that’s not the best part.
The technical tandem will set you back $3,799. I don’t know if you remember, but the OG GC3 comes in around $6,000.
This is one heck of a deal.
In a world full of gadgets and gizmos that claim to make you a better golfer, I’d be hard-pressed to find one that’s actually doing it in a more beneficial way than Foresight Sports. Now you can buy the all-new GC3S.
