The second Test between the second day Zimbabwe and Afghanistan Middle-order batter of Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo Sean Williams displayed exceptional sportsmanship during his spell Rashid Khan.
Sean Williams demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship
In Zimbabwe’s 66th innings, Williams was initially ruled out by the umpire after a loud call for dismissal by Afghanistan star Rashid. Despite the absence of a Decision Review System (DRS) in the game, Williams, batting on 49, elected to depart after realizing he had delivered the ball to the keeper. The gesture drew applause from Rashid and the Afghan players and highlighted the spirit of cricket. Williams’ innings ended with 49 runs from 52 balls, including eight fours.
