If there’s one thing I love more than a brand new pair of shoes, it’s saving money on said purchase. After spending years searching for the best places to save on golf apparel and shoes, I’ve narrowed it down to my top five.
Looking to buy branded golf equipment at discounted prices? Here are the five best places to buy cheap golf apparel and shoes.
1. Ross
My all time favorite place to shop for cheap golf apparel and shoes is Ross. Much to my wife’s chagrin, I frequent the local Ross, always on the lookout for hidden treasure. In this case, the treasure is $35 NIKE golf shoes or $19 Under Armor polos.
If you’re patient and willing to sift through collections, you can almost always find a great deal on golf apparel, even if it’s last season’s style.
2. Marshals
No. 2 (but more like 1B) is Marshalls. Where Ross is great for brands like Callaway, Under Armor and NIKE, I often found more premium brands on sale at Marshalls (G/FORE, Holderness and Bourne, Greyson).
Special finds are rarer and rarer, but finding a Greyson polo for $35 makes the wait worth it. Pro tip: Always check your shoes. I have found countless pairs of G/FORE and Cole Haan golf shoes at my local thrift store.
3. Nordstrom rack
That’s where I’m at. You know the name Nordstrom and you automatically think Dior or Ralph Lauren. But Nordstrom does sell some good golf apparel, and their discount sister store, Nordstrom Rack, is a great place to find deals on things like TRUE Linkswear golf shoes and TravisMathew golf apparel.
I generally wait until Nordstrom Rack’s “Clear the Rack” sale, where they give you at least an extra 25 percent off clearance items. It’s a great time to book!
4. Poshmark/Mercury
The resale website is a great place to find cheap golf apparel and shoes. Poshmark and Mercari are like eBay, but more focused on clothing. Instead of hunting through your local Goodwill (which I’m a fan of by the way) you can do a quick search on Poshmark to find some good deals on gently used clothing and shoes.
It’s also a great way to sell your gently used gear!
5. Go, Go, Go!
Did you know that DICK’S Sporting Goods has a discount store and website? It’s one of the worst kept secrets in retail. Go, Go, Go! by DICK’S is basically a warehouse of discounted appliances that DICK’S couldn’t sell at full price.
You can shop online and in person and can often find some seriously big discounts. For what it’s worth, I’ve often had better luck shopping in person.
